  Why choose the 700 series over the 95 series??

• The 700 series (Universal Test Systems) is geared at the higher end market and for laboratories.

• Because it is a ball screw drive it can apply force in both directions without the use of a compression cage.

• It can perform cyclic tests in both tension and compression.

• There is a broader range of load cells available for this series.

• The ball screw drive is very smooth thus this lets us use load cells down to 1/4 pound capacity.

• The 700 series lets you control speed from the touch screen or from the C-TAP software.

• From the soft ware you can set multiple speeds within the same test.

• This system also allows the use of an extensometer with it.

• The 700 series has a much broader speed range within the machine capacity (i.e. the 5000 lb is 15 ipm vs. 3 ipm on the 95T).

• Wider working width of 18 inches on the 702, 705.

• It can be fitted with environmental chambers.

• It has a larger and more stable platform for large heavy samples
