Total Control
The advanced ComTouch® Total Control System is Com-Ten's latest in automated test control. Run a complete test with a simple push on the handheld touchpad. The ComTouch® automatically detects sample failure and can return the tester to its original position. Measuring force, deflection, and speed; the ComTouch® can report peak or break results, download through a serial port, or be controlled through our C-TAP Test Software. ComTouch Features: · Controls both Com-Ten's 700 Series and 95T Series Test Systems · ComTouch® can replace and upgrade older Com-Ten systems · Easy-to-use menu driven handheld touchpad makes setup a snap · Modular design makes upgrades quick and easy · Connect Com-Ten's C-TAP software for direct PC control & reporting · Realtime display of force, deflection, and speed during test · Set a force limit to terminate the test at specific force · Set a travel limit to stop the test at a certain distance · Pretension the sample to a force before the test starts · Topload force feature can detect the top of a sample in compression · A fatigue/cycle feature provides many modes of cycling options · Set the sample location when used with a 700 Series Test System · Program to run either a tensile or compression test on the 700 Series · Sampling rate - 100/sec (w/o extensometer); Display rate - 4/sec · Set force units to pounds, kilograms, Newtons, grams or ounces · Set deflection units to inches, centimeters, or millimeters · Display force and deflection values at either peak or break · Three coded levels of security prevent users from changing setup · Can be used in conjunction with Com-Ten's optional extensometer · Hook up a parallel printer to print a test report directly, without a PC · Test data output through a RS-232 serial port or analog connection · Adjust the point at which the test terminates in relation to % of peak · Variable start force to avoid getting a false peak at test beginning · Turn the automatic return feature on, off, or set a time delay · User can set the time/date/day setting · Ability to reset all setup settings to a default to prevent tampering · Calibrated to a system accuracy of 0.5% full scale · Calibration is in accordance with ASTM E74 and traceable to NIST
