Key features

Springtest I
Simple and precise spring testing

The Springtest I system is very easy to use and allows you to take measurements quickly, regardless of the type of springs you are working with. It can be used for acceptance testing, quality control, production, or in the laboratory. The quality and repeatability of the results are guaranteed thanks to a specific design by Andilog:

  • The manual frame has minimal deformation during load increase thanks to a double steel guide and a displacement screw with no play.
  • The displacement screw allows for very precise positioning thanks to a stroke of 0.1 in per crank turn. The high-end dynamometer has one of the highest accuracies on the market: 0.1% of full scale with a resolution of 1/10,000.
  • The displacement sensor with digital display has a resolution of 0.0005 in to ensure repeatable and accurate compression.
  • The support plate, mounted on a ball joint, ensures perfect parallelism with the compression plate during tests to avoid any measurement errors.
  • Hooks can be supplied as an option for tensile spring tests.
Tension springs
The most common applications

The Springtest I model can be used to test most tension and compression springs. The plates included are suitable for standard compression springs, but specific accessories can also be custom-designed to suit specific cases, such as very long springs or springs with a small diameter. The most common springs tested:

  • helical springs
  • spiral springs
  • wave springs
  • conical springs
  • volute springs
  • bellows springs
  • wave springs

With its large digital display, the ANDITORK FIRST II allows operators to read it easily and reduces the number of reading errors commonly associated with analog testers. The screen is designed to withstand splashes and can be easily cleaned.

How to use the Springtest I?

When using the device for the first time and periodically thereafter, you must first adjust the parallelism between the compression plate and the adjustable support plate. To do this, loosen the locking screws on the adjustable plate and then lower the compression plate until the two plates are in contact. To ensure even greater accuracy and compensate for system deformation, it is recommended that you apply a force between the two plates equivalent to the force to be measured on your springs.Once this force has been reached, lock the adjustable plate by tightening the screws. Then set the displacement measurement scale to zero.

You can then test all your springs. Simply place the spring to be measured on the Springtest I, then lower the measuring head until the desired compression height is reached on the displacement sensor. Then record the force value or transfer this measurement to the computer.
