Directions

Com-Ten is located in Pinellas Park, Florida about 20 minutes from the Tampa International Airport.

Driving from the North or South, take I-275 toward St. Petersburg.
Get off at exit 28 and head West for about 3 miles.
Turn left on 49th Street North. Go 3/4 mile and Com-Ten is on the left side.
You have to pass Com-Ten and make a U-turn to come back up and turn into the parking lot.

Company History

1960

The company was founded as Research Products Co., Inc. in St.Petersburg, FL and has been manufacturing high quality tensile and compression test systems that are ideal for most material testing needs.

1970

In 1970 new owners renamed the company Com-Ten Industries and remodeled the entire product line.

1993

The company has more than doubled in size. The company is employee owned with more than 54% of eligible employees owning stock.

Since 1993 Com-Ten has introduced it’s low cost Digital Force Meter, a portable Motorized Fastener Tester, a Digital Fastener Tester, C-Tap Test AcquisitionPackage Software, the E-Z Test line of force gauges with test stands, and the 95 series Message Central Controller.

1997

In 1997 the principals of Com-Ten purchased a 22,000 sq. ft. building.

1998

In April of 1998 Com-Ten moved from 3,500 sq. ft. into 12,000 sq. ft. of newly remodeled space with the balance available for future expansion.

2003

In 2003 Com-Ten introduced a completely new line of Universal Testing Machines coupled to the all new ComTouch Control System.

2007

In August, Com-Ten Industries was sold to ForceLeader, Inc. Which is an affiliate company of ANDILOG who has been a leading manufacturer of Force Gauges Fand related products in Europe for over 20 years.

Tom Giebner of Com-Ten, in planning for his and JoAnn’s retirement sometime in the future, was attracted to ForceLeader because of ANDILOG’S desire to expand their product line and have a presence in the USA.

Mary DESEVRE of ForceLeader will be in charge to handle the business in Pinellas Park.

She has great experience in Force measurement. "The on-going operation of Com-Ten is of primary interest to us and I am really enthusiastic to expand and improve on the fine products & service that Com-Ten has provided for 47 years."

In the near future the ANDILOG force gauges will be also be assembled, distributed, and maintained in the USA by the Com-Ten organization.

Tom Giebner of Com-Ten, in planning for his and JoAnn’s retirement sometime in the future, was attracted to ForceLeader because of ANDILOG’S desire to expand their product line and have a presence in the USA. This then allows the continuation of the Com-Ten line into the foreseeable future.
